Investigation in Benecia - Photos

Okay, I went on a private investigation in Benecia, CA and I haven't listened to my evps yet, but the pictures I took on the staircase were so compelling, that I'm posting them first.

There is a wide staircase leading up to a large room. I was sitting on it and everyone else was across from, facing the staircase, so they could see up at the top. We had a flashlight positioned up there. I would hold my camera up every once in a while and snap pictures.  The flashlight dimmed significantly, and everyone else started seeing a light dancing around. In fact, they thought it was moving forward and then retreating, but I think it was an optical illusion. I kept snapping and catching weird, plasma like light and would show everyone and then we kept asking who it was.  The last picture stunned me. I didn't see it until later, but it's incredible that the entity morphed into it. Here they are. If you make them bigger, the pixels seem to look like a face.  Afterwards, the flashlight was super bright again and we got no further light anomalies. I didn't not increase the size in order to maintain the integrity of the pictures.  Let me know what you think.

The Town of Locke

I went on another investigation with the Bay Area Paranormal Society, led by Laura Johnson, to the town of Locke near Walnut Grove, PA. It was recently featured on Ghost Adventurers.

And speaking of which, they are persona non grata in that parts after the towns people thought they made them look crazy. After lengthy interviews, they took some things out of context and no, Mary doesn't think there were no Chinese in the town. She only said that they weren't the only nationality there.

It was a harrowing drive for me, partially because of the crazy bridge I had to go over to get there and partly because of the bad weather.  I finally reached the small town and parked and met my fellow investigators who had already started in the school house.

Locke Chinese School Museum

It was a rainy day, so it was a little difficult to weed out the water sounds, I threw a lot out, but there were a couple of clear responses.  It was still daylight by the way when we first started.

When I got there, my team members were reviewing an evp session they had just conducted.

You can hear chatter in the background. Laura asks who is the name of the person whose picture is on the wall and the response is That is Adam. After that you hear another sentence. Name 

I found some questions in Chinese online and recorded it on my phone and then played them. I ask, what is your name? There is a response that I can't understand (maybe that's Adam?) before the Chinese and then a man responds Chatter 

This is interesting because we think the spirit is saying a curse word, but I listen to some Chinese words for basically shushing someone and it sounded just like the response to Laura's loud piano playing. It was not heard int he room. Shhh 

From the school house, we went to the Chinese Association hall. It was difficult because there is a bar next door and you can hear them in there. We were trying to use other ways to get them to communicate. I had my flir for my iphone and we used other devices. At one point, we felt like we could heard someone walking on the roof so Laura went outside to look. There are no walkways beside the building that people could get too. The acoustics were kind of throwing us off. We weren't feeling a lot in there at first or hearing much of anything. We tried using dowsing rods and then we got a very loud response. There 

I can't understand this whole sentence, but someone asks how many children did you have and a male sounds like he says Don't answer the question, right...right Carry on. Male 

One of the investigators asks if they have a favorite food. There's a louder response and then it sounds like a deeper voice responds in Chinese. Chinese  So then someone asks if important decisions were made here. And I can get the first part. It says it's frustrates us that xxxxxxx has not..... I can't understand the middle. Voice  Alright 

So we're both speaking very bad Chinese and Japanese but we did get a response lol. It sounds like, ask questions you know. Then Laura say I don't know and another response. Question 

After we finished there, we went to the Dai Loi Casino. I really wanted to go in there after watching the GA episode and I was not disappointed. The minute I walked through the small hallway and entered the room I felt a wall of energy.

There are no words to describe how this place overwhelmed me. There is a slight slant upwards going towards the back. I was nauseous and it didn't feel like the friendliest of energies. Supposedly, there was an opium den above the caretakers quarters in the far back corner and of course, that is where I was drawn. There were deaths related to prostitution that occurred there and we weren't allowed to go up the steps. I went into the caretakers room and the energy was just so incredibly strong. I did get a response and this was before we got started. There was one person with me standing in the doorway. This wouldn't be my first get out of the night. It sounds more like Get her out. Out  Noises 

We gathered together in the casino part of the room. The entire time I was definitely still drawn to the back. I left a recorder on the back steps. It's raining pretty hard at this point. While Laura is talking, a voice at the same time is saying, Get that off this table. Then a woman says something and at the end a man says, that would be like this. Voices 

There was a lot of chatter in that room. I didn't post everything. We decided to have people go into the money room for isolation. I was first, but unfortunately, everyone else was still playing blackjack in the other room and didn't realize how loud it was. I did manage to get a few evps. I didn't feel anything while I was in there though. You can hear rain in the background. Jennifer  I say hello and a male responds back. Male  I had some other responses that are just too hard to hear.

I'm not sure what is going on in this one. Starts with a weird male voice. Tried  Also got this, Voice 

So, I decided to go back in the corner where the steps are to the opium den and the caretakers small room. I do get some voices and there is strong energy that slams into me on the way there, but I didn't give up and tried to work with it.  It's hard to hear with the loudness of rain and people talking on the other end of the room. I speak and then I hear a woman say something. Woman 

I wish it wasn't raining and that we had set a time limit on the blackjack experiment because the chatter interfered with hearing the voices. It's a chance you take because sometimes reenacting does illicit a lot of responses. I did get one where they said you don't need to hide. It's just difficult to hear and another where a man was whispering to me. Frustrating!

I had put a recorder on the steps right next to the caretakers room and left it there. It's basically the big room and then at end of it you make a left and there is a small distance to the step and the caretakers room is on the right.

This is interesting. A man sounds angry. It kind of sounds like Now! You die. There is a lot of chatter after that. Voices 

While Laura and girls are playing cards, there is a conversation going on near the stairs. Voice 

I ask a question and it sounds like do not try to hold us. At the end, my house.Hold 

We went to the restaurant a few doors down and had a bite to eat and then we held an investigation there. In the past, it was an antique shop from 1986 - 2002 and then it was closed for twelve years. It was sold. There is a room they call the meat room which now has a table in it. It was also possibly a jail.

The front door is 120 years old. The woman, Mary, who runs the restaurant is the woman who Ghost Adventures misrepresented (it didn't help that another towns person threw her under the bus because of a property dispute). I play the recorded Chinese questions and there is one point where I asked where they come from and everyone thinks there is a response. Unfortunately, it was just the noise that came after the recording. Debunked. we thought there was another answer to the name but again, it was the movement on the recorder. Lesson learned on that one. I need to make sure I cue it up better, so there is no possibility of contamination. That's what I get for rushing to do that.

We were doing isolation session in the meat locker at the same time we were doing EVP sessions in the room. I left a few evps out because it's just whispering. There was one response that everyone said they thought said, I want to go home, but that's not what I hear on my recording. There is a male voice that says, I run (I think) and then a female says I worked for casino (I think). I definitely don't hear I want to go home. Voices The interesting thing is that on her recording it sounded like I wanna go home. Home Then, I reversed Laura's recording and it sounds like they want me out or they—lock me out. Reverse 

There's people who believe that a true evp will be able to be played normally and in reverse and you get two messages. If it says nothing in reverse, then it's not a true evp. I don't really believe that, but it's an interesting theory. I had a recorder running when I was in isolation in the meat locker. We were not speaking, but I didn't capture anything. However, I did get some additional voices on that recorder which I left running after I got out. Here's one. Female 

After we left there, we went to a house next door. The person who owned it had passed away and Mary had got the deed to the house and it had a lot of antiques in it, bad sadly the town is taking it away from her. Immediately, most of us felt the energy. It was that strong. At first, we walked into the main room and just looked around at the antiques, but then decided to go into the smaller room which was the former owner's bedroom. It was very narrow, but we all squeezed in. There was a lot of antiques in there. I left one recorder in the outer room and took one with me. The bedroom had some insane energy. Eight out of eleven people ended up feeling sick in one way or another. It's hard to describe, but it was almost like you couldn't concentrate. Your mind was wandering, because you couldn't totally focus. My stomach felt cramped and by the end, I couldn't move. One of the men had to sit because he was nauseous and dizzy.

Here's a weird one. Sounds like someone says Get them out..yes xxxxx, it won't stop the living....then a yell which I"m not sure if it's outside or paranormal. Get  Got some weird sounds in the other room. No one was in there. Can hear the word bedroom. Bedroom  Man 

We go into the other room where the kitchen was and immediately, I feel energy again. I was clenching my hands and not even realizing it. Again, my stomach muscles tightened. Anne was getting pains in her left arm and leg and Ben was getting pains in his left arm. It just felt very thick in there. The room was full of antiques too. Here are some of the evps: Male faintly - Don't answer. Female Si or me Papa Don't Don't talk to the customers. Si pop Don't2 

Well, that was my awesome experience in the town of Locke. I would definitely go back, even though the drive was harrowing for me (not a fan of bridges and had to go over a crazy one to get there and the road back to the freeway is pitch black on either side—very creepy). I might have the chance soon, because I might be attending an investigation nearby and we might do that hotel and the town of Locke again. Stay tuned. I'm so behind in posting. I have a few investigations before this I still haven't posted. Sorry for the delays.

Shinn House 8/10/14

Hello All,

I am so behind in posting. Life happens. I got a chance to investigate the historic Shinn House in Fremont, CA with BAGH.

Upon arriving, I noticed a little garden area to the right of the house so I stepped into it and I felt like I walked into a wall of energy.  It was really cool. There's a huge tree to the left of the house and there was crazy energy there as well.

Walking into the house was very overwhelming the energy was that strong. It really took me by surprise. We went to a room in the back to set up our equipment and break into teams.  Then we did a walk-through. I always wear my headphones and just listen to music so i don't know any of the history of the house. While tapping in, I saw two little boys, one had brown hair (I got the name James) and had on a black outfit (knickers) and they other one's hair was a little lighter. There was a female with dark hair (it was brushed into a larger bun) and they were out in the yard.  Then I saw a man with dark hair and a black suit lying down (he was dead).

Basement

The energy was palpable in the basement.  During the walk through, I couldn't even stay down there and almost opted out.  But in the end, I decided to go back down with the group after I learned it would be our first stop.  We all took our places and immediately we were feeling things. Mariah thought someone was behind her and we both tapped in and thought it was a little boy.  Unfortunately, there were some people talking outside at the time. But, I still got some great evidence.  You'll just have ignore the background chatter.

Mariah asks who's behind her and gets a female response. There's a lot going on in this one. Unfortunately, we're talking so some of it gets lost. In the beginning sounds like a English accent and he/she says not tall, she's average. At the very end sounds like someone says don't tell me.Voices  Then, we're talking about the boy and you hear a child's voice say, I'll go down.Child   I'm not quite sure what's going on with this at the end. Voice  High pitched voice. I think it either sounds like a little boy says Gail. Voice2 . Laura asks for a name. Name 

The interesting thing is that every time we said little boy (we listened back to evps), and tried to talk about what he might have said on the tape, the REM pod would go off loudly and we couldn't hear the response on the recorder.  It was very cool.  This was the only room it really went off in.

We continued to interact with the spirit and decided to play a variation of the game of hide and go seek. There is a voice after the first time we all count to ten but I can't make it out so I didn't post it. Mariah gets that we were cheating because not all of us closed our eyes (Yes we are in completely darkness). And when she says we're all closing our eyes now. You hear spirit say okay. Okay 

Needless to say, we had a lot of experiences in the basement and I'm glad I chose to go down there.

Day Room 

We moved into the day room. Everyone is feeling a lot of energy (headaches, dizziness etc.). I ask a question and there's a weird noise. I thought it sounded like the key sounding from the piano. We did ask it to play it. They thought it sounded like blowing over a bottle. DR1 About four of us have dowsing rods in our hands and ask where we should go next. My rods and Laura's pull the same way. So, we all decide to go into the Dining Room.  Mariah is feeling like we should go into the little bedroom (also was a gift shop) which is off the dining room and belonged to Florence. We go in there and take out our dowsing rods and try to use them to communicate with her. Laura and a few people feel like they hear someone moving around outside. We decided to try the spirit box. Then Laura sees a shadow behind me (on the outside) because I'm standing in front of the door. Here's a few things we got. Response Response2

When we took a break, Mariah and I were talking and she said what name did you get for the little boy.  I told her to write the name down she got and I did the same and we both had written down the name James.

Second Floor

We then go to the second floor where all the bedrooms are located. We go into one of the rooms. Didn't get a lot in there. Went into the nursery. There were some faint voices and at one point they are communicating using the flashlight and I ask them to make it go on if the boys name in the basement was James and it did. We then all gathered in the honeymoon suite. There is a man who is speaking to us but unfortunately, it's hard to understand him. Man  

Attic

I didn't get much else on the second floor. We then went up to the attic. We did a moment of silence and people were feeling energy and having a hard time not falling forward. I hear some responses to our question but they are hard to make out. Here are some voices as we're introducing ourselves. Voices2  Mike asks if any of the girls strikes their fancy. Curse word.Curse  We play some music and got a ghost box response that said, play the song. Play GetEm Then it sounds like a higher pitch love it in response to the next song. Love 

This isn't paranormal, just a creepy doll picture.

So, it was an interesting investigation.  We had a lot of personal experiences and there was a lot I didn't post because it was harder to hear.  Thanks for reading!

Meek Mansion Hayward, CA 5/24/14

Hello,

I recently got to investigate at he Meek Mansion in Hayward California with BAGH.

I was shocked at how big the mansion is and there is a beautiful park around the property. It was built in 1869 by William Meek. It's approximately 7,902 sq ft with over 20 rooms.  The Ream family brought the mansion in 1940 and added a ballroom and bedroom space.

The docents and Laura from BAGH were excellent hosts and there was a lot of activity in the house.  As soon as we stepped through the door, we were experiencing it.  In fact, I could feel it just walking up the front steps. We did a walk through and I noted any impressions or feelings I had.  I didn't listen to the docent because I didn't want any history of the house to influence what I was sensing.  I was attracted to a huge bay window in the front of the house and on the 3rd floor there was a left bedroom that I felt a huge amount of energy in as well as the servants quarters on the 2nd floor.

Our command central was in the carriage house.  We gathered all our gear up and soon as I headed towards the front steps, I along with several others felt a surge of energy.  It was hard for Laura to even get through the door.  I went to where the front window was again to see if I felt anything as everyone waited to start and a female whispered in my ear at one point; much to my delight.  We kept hearing sounds from the adjacent room as well as movement above us from the 2nd floor.  The spirits were definitely willing to communicate with us.

You'll have to ignore the kids playing outside in the beginning, the park was still open at this point.

USE HEADPHONES FOR BEST HEARING RESULTS - Right after the spirit whispered in my ear you can hear a spirit speaking and then another answers. I think a male says I'll be late for the night train and then there's a female reply don't panic. Voices

Someone comments that they heard a little kid outside yell the name Mariah (one of the attendees).  And then there female voices.  One of which says I want you to be bad.Voices2

We start the investigation.  My group is on the 3rd floor first.  I ask if we can investigate the left bedroom, since I felt a lot of energy in there on the walk through.  There is a bathroom with a clawfoot tub that separates that bedroom from the other.  We have the door open between them and a rempod in the bathroom along with a push bell (like you'd see on a counter).

We do a round of questioning and get a response.  I'm not quite sure what was said in the middle.  I can hear I don't know.....I can not have Then there is a pause. I hate em. Voices3

Ann asks what holiday is coming up.  He says Gracias mem...morial day (will have to use headphones to hear more clearly). Holiday

Mike asks a question and the reply is I don't know. Answer There is a response to a question.  Voice

This one is harder to hear but since they actually rang the bell, I'll leave it.  Actually they ring it again within a minute later.  I think a man says Go ahead....they're waiting.  There's another whisper, a pause, then I think it says I'll try and then you hear the bell ring.  Bell The only other thing I could think that noise could be is a camera but I checked my video and even though I'm facing away from the group, I would see the flash of one. It also makes that same noise a few minutes later.

The bell was a great idea.  It's easy to push as well.  I think I'll have to get one.  Genius idea Laura.

We got a response when we asked for a name but I think it says April I think. Which is interesting because that is my first name that I don't go by.. Male Another male voice. I can hear the word water. Male2 

I have two versions of this.  The man says, help me my mother's still alive. Alive Alive2 

There's a couple of other responses after that and one of them sounds like he says don't try to help me. Then Laura thinks she's hearing footsteps and there is some whispering. After that, Laura asked them to walk through the bathroom and you can hear a male voice.Man 

We then went to the other bedroom on the other side of the bathroom.  We used the spirit box.  There is a man talking that doesn't seem like it's through the spirit box several times but it's really hard to hear.  We ask if they want us to leave. He says no, stay. Stay  Now, I thought I heard it say April. Laura at that point said she heard someone say that in the other room. Then, it kind of goes April crazy (we are talking under it). The first part says April help us. There's a weird male gravely voice that says something right before two more female Aprils back to back. April  This one says, here is Joe. Joe 

In the attic we got several responses. The street noise is loud but you can hear most of them.  I ask if someone died in the house. A male says connect to? Use headphones.  Voice  Laura asks a question about hair and I think he replies. Male  Someone asks do you know what year it is. There's a no and then later I think you better not give up. This is harder to hear. Voice2 . Mike asks a crazy question and a female responds, sounds like I fear. Female 

We then went into the main parlor on the 1st floor - Laura is setting up and a spirit is whispering.  Sounds like he died too then please go (harder to hear).Male Next, it sounds like a male says go to the main house, take my wing?. A female speaks right over Laura and says don't say a lot, and I can't understand the last part. Voices Laura is talking and there is a male voice. Man 

We then here some movements coming from upstairs (thumps).  There was a lot of chatter in this room so I didn't post it all.  In this one, Laura asks did someone assist you in their death and a voice sounds like it says Mercy Mercy 

I wish I could understand their answer to the question, does this room hold any secrets. There are two responses actually but I can't figure out what's said. So, I didn't post it. Here's a louder voice. Sounds like throw em away. Voice Someone asks what do you miss most about being alive and a male answers, I'm not sure. Man Someone is talking over Laura's voice and says three things. Response 

We start a 2nd evp session and we heard the answer.Voice 

So at the time we were listening to this in the room, we thought the voice said Morena (and later that name was said upstairs with the other group). Everyone swore they didn't say it. Before the cough, there is whispering too. Morena 

We got into the solarium and I was asking Laura some questions and there is someone talking as we talk. In the first one, I can clearly hear don't you think about it.Voice This one, there's a weird voice in the beginning and then a Yes at the end. Yes  There was another whisper but I didn't post it and several responses like that. Voice  Voice2

We had stepped back inside because we were all feeling crazy energy and Laura's ears were hurting.  Then different people were feeling sick or like energy was pushing or pulling us.  I started feeling tense and clenching my fists and others were feeling tense too. We got several responses during that time but I can only understand I am. Male2  And then some more voices. Voices

We go down to the basement (creepy) and mostly everyone went downstairs except for three of us.  Laura and everyone else went down into the cistern (where they would get water).  It was a steep climb down so I optioned out.  We kept hearing talking (a male).  And they were either quite down there or Laura was asking questions.  It echos really bad in that chamber so you couldn't make a lot of noise.  Here is a male speaking. Male

Now, this was creepy because again I think someone whispered April again. April I'm still hearing something.  You can tell the difference between them speaking down below cause it echos. Voice  Ann asks how many are here and sounds like someone says six. Six 

I think I in the kitchen for this one. Sounds like I want that in the parlor. Female  

We went to the dining room.  There were some possible voices in the beginning but everyone was chatty so I had to discount them. I asked how long have you lived here. Male  We ask some questions and someone is using dowsing rods.  There's a couple of good evps.  The first one sounds like he says I love you. Male2  Female  

So, I asked when they said April earlier if they were referring to me.  The rods crossed for yes.  Then I asked if they new I didn't like being called April and it said yes.  We're laughing and then Laura asks do you care and it gave a resounding No. Then someone says, can you point to who in this room is named April and it pointed to me.  Then I say interesting and someone speaks. It almost sounds like the answers by the way I don't know.Response  

We went to the servant's quarters next.  There's a lot of whispering.Whispers  Man  Man2  

There was a long sentence by a woman. But I can only make out matter of fact (in the beginning). In that room you can hear traffic noise so sometimes it's difficult to hear.  I was actually hoping for a lot more in there. It's interesting that the activity lessens the later it gets. I notice that at the Hornet sometimes too. Maybe it's because our energy is petering out.  Anyway, our last stop was Mrs. Meek's bedroom.  I got a few whispers, but that was about it.

All in all, it was a great investigation.  Up next: Hotel Ledger in California Gold country.

Cohen-Bray House - Oakland 3/1/14

Hello Everyone. I recently got the opportunity to investigate the Cohen Bray house in Oakland California with Bay Area Ghost Hunters (shout out to Laura).

The house was built in 1882-1884 by Julia Moses and Watson A. Bray.  It was very nice to have relatives of the family on the investigate with us.  They provided such a great insight.

While a brief history was given of the house, I listened to music and put in my noise cancelling ear phones so I didn't hear it.  As I tapped into the energy of the house, I got a vision of 2 girls (felt like they were twins).  However, one was very much in the forefront.  She was very excited about something they were celebrating and was talking to an adult.  She had on a dress and was very animated and full of energy. I didn't say anything until later and found out that there were twins.  One died around 6 years of age and her name was Mary.

We started out in a large room adjacent to the library (parlor room).  It's a big sitting room that the kids called the twirling room.  There is a huge mirror that was rescued from the house next door which had caught on fired and burned down (it was also owned by family members).  I was very drawn to it.  We settled into the room and started an evp session.  Again, if you want to hear detail you have to listen with headphones.

Laura asks if there is a little girl named Mary and we do a voice. It's faint though, almost sounds like Mary is right there. Voices


Then we're talking about Mary (who we keep saying is 6) and the room we're in. It sounds like someone yells. I'm seven. Seven A similar voice says something right after that. Voice

Laura asks a question. Response

I talk about the vision I saw while I was tapping into the house before the investigation. And there is a voice that appears along with mine. Voice2

There's a few times when you can hear voices behind us talking. I just can't make out what they are saying. This is one of the louder ones.Voice3

At one point when we're listening back to the recorder, I felt the whole room shift.  I heard it and felt the shift.  Right after I voiced the shift, Laura noted that her battery drained in her camera.  The temperature dropped in the room.  We also ask them to make a noise twice in a row and they do.

I have to say this next was loud it kind of stunned me.  Laura asks the identity of a woman in a photograph (it's Emma) and you hear someone say, that's me.  Then it kind of sounds like a very clipped voice with a slight accent says, let me tell her Francesca.Male There is a male in the group with us but he sounds nothing like that.  It's completely out of the blue with no response.

From there, we went to the dining room.  We used the spirit box and got no results. But as soon as we turned it off a man ways, what was that. What

I asked everyone to hold hands to join our energy. I asked whoever was there to say their name and there is a muffled female voice but I just can't make out the name. Then someone asked if the spirit lived in the house and you hear a yes. Males  I ask a question and a female says okay. Okay

We ventured up to the attic.  There was a little room that was a study and also a bedroom at one point.


I had my earbuds plugged into the recorder and listened as we did a minute of silence.  I thought I heard a man say go ahead.  Here it is. Man

I also got two other male voices.  Not sure what 1st voice says but second sounds like Patrick Males.

There was another fainter similar voice after that one.  We then ventured to the master bedroom. 

We went across the hall to the sewing room and got this voice which Laura and I heard. Sounds male first than female reply Voice.  Then Laura asks a question and gets a response. I think it says yes talk. 
Yes.  I did hear that live.

 This was in Emelita's bedroom.  She was the youngest daughter.  It's pretty loud.  Yes

In the master bedroom, I got this. TooHot  Laura asks are you proud of your family and a female says I don't know your family (at the time we thought she said No).  And then a male says who are you?  Who

We went around and all of us asked questions.  On the 2nd round, I felt like they wanted me to ask something about the wedding but my mind went blank and I thought that I could hear movement around the room.  I do ask and then it sounds like a woman says 'kind of' in response and then another says yes mom.KindOf

There's actually two voices (2nd one is louder and sounds like he says i don't feel like it anymore. Voices  Then Laura mentions the house and it sounds like a man says just make it right. Right

Laura then mentions listening to our records and a male says, your voice may not come out right. Harder to hear this one.  Should use headphones.  Male Another voice. Voice

We then went into a room that had a wax doll and some clothing.  The room felt very dense and it was making me nauseous.  So, I asked if we can do a quick evp session.  I'm not totally sure what he says.  At first I thought it was I don't have to like you but the more I listen it sounds like will instead of don't. Man Another response Response

Laura asks a question and he talks under her and then you hear clearly he will not help you. Male
Another answer. Says never. Never Another one. Man2

I have to say, I really enjoyed the investigation.  If you ever get a chance to tour, you really should!!

Pardee House Oakland, California 11-30-13

I had the opportunity to investigate at the Pardee Home Museum with the Bay Area Paranomal Group.  Laura organized another great investigation.  The house was erected in 1868.  There is also a detached carriage house which has 2 floors.  The upstairs is mainly storage and there is stories about someone hanging themselves up there.

We began in the carriage house.  Before we even started I got this evp.  It's a male's voice that sounds like he says it hurts below.  Hurts. Right after that, we begin and Laura is talking about who they've talked to up there and a male voice says I'm still here. Here.


After that we did another evp session and I can hear a man that sounds like he says don't talk to me. But, it's hard to hear.

This is the only interesting cam photo (game motion camera).  There's a white spot then nothing.  Also on the 2nd shot if you look in the upper open door (top center) area there are two orbish looking things that aren't in the first picture. Not saying it's paranormal, just interesting.  We're all upstairs.

We then went back into the house. We started in the front of the house towards the street. It was the main parlor. I hear a really high pitched noise but no one else heard it. I ask about it(I'm the only one with headphones on) and Laura thinks maybe it could be a car outside, but I don't hear a car until a ways afterward. It sounds like never hurt me.  Hurt.

Everyone gets situated. Laura hears a whisper. There does seem to be a male voice saying what kind is it or what time is it. Male. We tried a spirit box (scanning backwards and at fastest rate). I did here some things. This was the most compelling. It sounds like the same voice for several words. Hello, xxcant't understandxx Listen. Listen. We're trying to get them to talk and she asks to say one of our names and you here I am Michael xxxxx Michael. This is weird because it sounds like a little boy. Boy.

We gave up on the spirit box and just did normal evps. Laura had asked several questions and I started to have some problems breathing. I was struggling to not cough. It didn't feel like allergies but it was like my chest was feeling constricted and I was trying to shake it off and couldn't. I was sitting right at the entrance of the Candlestick Parlor. And it sounds like a voice said I need him. Need. Right after that I drop my flashlight. I can't hold it any more because I'm so overwhelmed. I'm coughing and kind of choking trying to get it under control and someone says what sounds like I'll go. When we were trying to listen to it back at the time, we thought it said agua and it was a child. But it sounds like a woman to me. I'll Go.

I cough again and I ask if someone just whispered cause I can't breath but I still have earphones on. But, no one said they were talking and only one other person heard it but me. Someone thought they heard a noise right before I started choking as well. After that we tried to talk to whoever it was. I do feel like I got some faint whispers but nothing clear. And it seemed so cold in the entrance to that parlor.

The interesting thing about this is that apparently, in a different investigation that I was unaware of, someone was sitting in the same place as me and started choking as well. She started getting all this information about a car crash and her chest being crushed. And the museum staff did some research and Florence Mary Pardee was in a car accident and was crushed and possibly died from her injuries in the house.  Her picture is on the wall in the Main Parlor. There is a faint response when Laura says she's sorry about how you died. And a voice says then help us. Then she tries to get them to make a noise. Noise.

We then went to the dining room. Which is on the other side of the main parlor. I did get a few male responses but couldn't understand what he was saying.

We then went to Ms. Madeline's bedroom. There was a whisper and a weird noise but that's it. Voices.

And the next room (Twin Bedroom) had some whispers but that's about it. Although, I did capture this interesting orb.

Then, we went into the trunk room (which you access through the Billard room. It's very interesting in there.

It had some crazy energy and there were 2 skulls in a case that were apparently stolen from a Guatemalan crypt by friends of the Pardee's. A lot of us were feeling crazy energy in our chests and heads.  We went back into the billard's room and there was a lot of background chatter.  Voices1.

We were in the master bedroom and I left a recorder in the Billard Room. Laura was telling some background stories and we got this Voices5.  It almost sounds like he will not hear you. Voices6.
Then she asks about another person and a male voices says he's not here. NotHere.
She's actually replaying her evps in the other room. She was asking about the man who decapitated the captain and there are some weird noises and then someone yells get out right now. GetOut.
Then she asks more and a male says I know. And then after another question he says I think I know that.Male.

Overall, I really had a great time with the group.  I think I got some great evps as well.

Oakland Aviation Museum 11/1/13

Hello Everyone!

It's been awhile. But, I'm back. I'm trying to catch up on posts. I had the opportunity to investigate the Oakland Aviation Museum with Bay Area Paranormal meetup group and it didn't disappoint.  Thank you to all the staff there that helped as well!  Ellis and Jennifer were great!

As always, you will hear it more clearly with headphones. We started the investigation in the library.  It has some old uniforms in there and basically gives the staff who work there the creeps.

Most of our good responses came from the spirit box.  There were lots of whispering responses. I just couldn't tell what they were saying.  So, I'm not going to post every one of them.

This one is strange though.  Male.Male2. Male3.Male4.

This is louder. Two different voices in beginning. After the 2nd question it sounds like A lot Happened Male5

Here's some spirit box stuff.  I didn't include it all.  The first three are really good.  SB1 SB2 SB3 SB4 SB5

Everyone had left the room and I walked into the hallway and was alone.  I was feeling energy so I recorded. Male 

After that, there was one more answer but don't know what it said.  And another one in the hangar bay that seems to respond to a woman in our group and say do you want some help.

I then headed to the Engine room where I could feel a lot of energy as well.  There was an area with tools and that is where I asked most of the question.  I came back a 2nd time as well.  They banged at one point for me when I asked them to make a noise with a tool.

For this one, right before this I did ask a name and the same voice says one but I just can't understand it.  This one is much clearer.  I think he says I'm Happy. Happy

It's a shame because that deeper voice responds to a lot of my questions.  But, most of it, you just can't understand what he's saying or can only make out part of it. M1 M2

We then went further back into the hanger bay.  Another lady and I were in these 2 rooms that were heavy energy.  I did get someone talking to us but again it was a male whispering.  We then went to the theater room. Male Sounds like he says I'm following you. Male2  Male3


I got a lot of responses. But most I can't understand so you just hear a male voice saying something. This one sounds like a lower voice saying you can't tell me what to do (after I asked their rank) and then you hear Hoffman. Male5 Male6

So, definitely a lot of responses in the theater room. Just wish I could understand more of them.

There were two rooms in the back part of the hanger that felt really weird. The lady I was with felt it heavily too. We got this evp which sounds like he's mad. Mad Man

We went into the restoration area. A lot of the staff don't like it in there. I only got one evp. It was a challenge in there because it's near the street and you can hear traffic noise. Voice

There was a chunk of a smaller plan outside we all sat in. The cockpit and a small seating area was behind it. We tried the spirit box and I'll post some of the better ones. SP1 This one is weird. I had the it on reverse and flipping through stations at the highest rate. SP2

This one is exciting. I ask if they can tell us the number of the flight. But, it sounds like he says Cessna 1112. That is a real plane but I don't think it's the one we were in one Cessna  We ask if they need help. And we get a loud little bit. Little

We then went to the Solent Flying Boat. It's very big. It has two levels. They even have dinners on there some time and I believe he said Harrison Ford ate there. We were aloud to climb through this little hatch into the cockpit. Here's what we got: First a voice that is talking underneath our question Voice We're talking about Howard Hughes and you hear a man say what sounds like I know him. Voice

I had a wonderful time there and got lots of interaction. If you get a chance to investigate or do a tour, I definitely would encourage you to do so.

Viginia City Nevada May 2013

I had the opportunity to go to Virginia City, NV again with EGPI.

It was colder than I'd thought it would be there, but I still had a great time.

I got the opportunity to take a tour of the Mckay Mansion this time around. The tour was great. I learned a great history lesson and the house was interesting. We also got to take a tour of the Washoe Club which I didn't get to do last time.  I'll get back to that later.

We stayed in a cottage across the street from the Gold Hill. It's the same one I stayed in the last time but a different section. It didn't seem to be as active as the front one. Judy and Regina went into this big empty walk in closet inside the bedroom and got a few evps. Male. Voice. The room wasn't really that active. The last night there a few of us kept hearing talking, but we were never able to locate it.

MacKay mansion. It was built in 1860 and it was the home of John MacKay as well as the office for the Gould & Curry Mining Company. Initially, George Hearst worked as a superintendent in the mines and he resided there. John McKay later resided there. There have been reports of a little girl in white. I was having some video difficulties. Only me and Stephanie were in the house. MaleVoice.

Brittany and I decided to go to the mines located in back of the Gold Hill. The previous night, we had went out there (lower mine behind Miner's Cabin) and as soon as I turned on my recorder, I got a male voice and a whisper. Male. It freaked me out cause it was clear. We didn't hear anything and there was no one else around. Down the hill a ways there is a trailer with some cars parked. But, we weren't that close to it. Here's a 2nd one. Male2.






We ended up going to the main cemetery in town.  We had it all to ourselves so it was nice.
Regina had a couple of evps where I could hear a voice.  Another female voice was captured on a 2nd recorder I had laid on some bricks. But, it was nothing exciting.  On my third recorder which I was carrying, I got this.It's hard to hear what he's saying. Voice.

Judy did some fast talking and we got to investigate a very old restaurant we had eaten in called Cafe de Rio.  They have really good food.  The owner and staff had experienced some weird occurences upstairs including some bluish energy.  In the first evp in the middle someone says I am.... and I just can't make out the two syllable word.  And at the end there is someone whispering to me. I'm in the room by myself. Voice2.Voice3.

We got to investigate the Old Washoe Club.  I didn't have the opportunity to investigate the club the last time but now they've opened up a tour where you can go upstairs.

It was very interesting.  I had a personal experience I'll never forget.  A few times I got very overwhelmed with energy.  By the time we made it up to the 3rd floor I was having a hard time breathing.  Part of that could have been the altitude which none of us were used to. The elevation is 6200 ft.  But as we kept walking around, I was burning up.  I did have a coat on but no one else around me at the time was experiencing this and I hadn't been hot all night.  But, I was literally burning up to the point where it was making me very weak.  By the time we went to go down the stairs, my legs almost gave out on me going down the steps and I was doing everything I could to focus and get down them safely.  When we got outside it was cold.  But, I ended up siting down on a bench.  I was pretty messed up.  It took me about a 1/2 hr to cool down.  I mentioned it to another EGPI team member (who had just showed up before we went on the tour) and he mentioned his wife was having the same problem as me.  I did find out that there was a fire in there before.  So, I'm wondering if that is what happened because I've only ever experienced that before under the same circumstances (many years ago).  Unfortunately, they were singing karaoke on the 1st floor at the beginning of the tour so I had to throw out potential evps.

Later that night, we went and tried to do some investigating in the Gold Hill Hotel.  We were mainly in the dining room area.  We even took turns going in there individually.  I got some whispers.  But, it was nothing to write home about.  We went back into the dining area by the bar and we still had our Mel Meters on and we were chatting.  I was telling a few stories and the Mel Meter would keep going off when I finished.  And for some reason every time I said the word creepy.  I'd even randomly throw it into the conversation to try and trick it and it would would spike all the lights.  It was pretty funny.  I have no idea if it was paranormal, but it was entertaining for a while (okay, it was late and we were tired).

Overall, I had a great time.  I didn't get to really investigate St. Mary's again which was disappointing. I did stop in there on the way home.  I wanted to at least do the tour, but no one came to greet us. I walked around a little bit and did some evp sessions. But, I got nothing. 

The Sherman - Burlingame, CA 3-9-13

Hi Everyone!

I had the opportunity to go ghost hunting with BAGH (Bay Are Ghost Hunters - meetup.com). I had a great time. It was aboard the former army transport ship USAT General Frank M Coxe (re-named The Sherman after a supposed owner).

The 144 ft ship was built in 1922 (shortly after WWI) and was in service until 1947. It is estimated that it carried over 6 million passengers during its military service. It was decommissioned and sold after that. "The Coxe provided a regular service between Fort Mason, on the north coast of the San Francisco peninsula, and Fort McDowell on Angel Island, with periodic stops at Alcatraz. The Alcatraz service continued after the Army relinquished control to the Federal Prison Bureau in the mid-1930s." There was an almost successful prison escape from Alcatraz which involved the ship. John K Giles stole an army uniform from the prison laundry and was able to board the ship (which was going to Angel island). Luckily, before he was able to leave the ship, an observant military office noticed his paperwork was forged and arrested him.

Initially the ship was bought by a SF ferry company. It was then converted into a floating restaurant called The Showboat, in Stockton, CA. The restaurant changed hands a few times and also was converted into a night club. In the late 80's it was berthed in Jack London Square and was called the Pattaya Princess. After that, it was thought that a businessman named Robert Sherman (hence the name) bought it and it sat for 16 years until sold. However, he never owned it (that wasn't discovered until his death).

The owner now lives aboard the ship on the 4th floor and has hopes of re-opening the restaurant. There were 9 of us on this investigation. We started on the bottom of the ship and worked our way up. Linda was the organizer of the event and led the investigation. There was only 1 guy in the group (and he really didn't speak that much so it was easy to tell him from the spirits).

Bottom floor: Storage kitchen, office, lockers, and other storage etc. We started at the bottom since it was darker down there because the sun hadn't set yet. It was around 57 degrees. We started in the kitchen/storage area and it was very interesting. At first we just got a few short responses like this one.  Yes. Male3. I'm not going to post every little things but we got a lot of whispered responses back but sometimes I just couldn't understand. But, it was clear that someone was interacting with us.

And things really started to get interesting when things started to move around on the floor above us. It was pretty trippy. FurnMove1. We heard footsteps. And we were discussing if possibly the owner came in and was moving stuff around. FurnMove2. FurnMove3. Then things get a little more interesting. People think they are hearing water but I feel like I'm listening to a tv. I'm going to post both clips from different recorders. But in the middle of it all I clearly hear someone say Burt, turn the tv off. And then, I hear I can't followed by someone saying first of all Burt.Use headphones if you can.  Voices Voices2. Here's some more phantom tv and some respones. Btw, we are still hearing chairs slide across the floor, I just didn't want to post every single chair slide and be redundant.  Warning, I hear some cursing in the first one. Voices2 Voices3 I'm talking about how I don't want to use the ovilus anymore and someone whispers that is true or that is the truth. True Another voice. Voice4 No

We then made our way to the back of the boat on the same level (where the employee lockers are). I thought I heard a yes over the headphones for the 2nd question but it actually said no. It's hard to hear but right at the end someone says no it wasn't. No2  *One of the weirdest deepest voices I've ever heard says It doesn't matter at the end of this. Doesnt * Mr weird voice responds again when Laura is asking about the owner running the restaurant again. he says No, it will probably be forgotten. And at the end he says I want her to be (but I can't get last words). forgotten * When we asked if they new Mr Sherman died there was a lot of whispering and a faint you don't know him answer. Here is some weird whispering and they keep repeating the word heah. heah * This next one is interesting. A woman answers I can speak to that. But then a male whispers, Alice, don't ask. Alice

So this sounds like deep voice tries to say his name and other things.  Then in 2nd 1/2 there is a clear please help me Man * It's hard to make him out but he says, i don't want to talk about that time. There are other voices in there as well (included female at end - sounds like you're not being very mature). Male 

Male2 Male3  * This one is clearer. HelpU * When she's talking and says we can't tell that it's you.  A female is saying underneath, can you hear me now. A male then says something (I can make out 2nd part let me clear the room) Male *  Voice * We ask if they know they are dead and someone says finito. I think the name he says is Buddy Piccone or Bugsy Name * In the beginning I think it says I am right behind you. Voices Voice  * We moved back to the stairs because we thought we kept seeing shadow movement. This one he says we'll give you what you need and then there is another voice. At the end, it sounds like he says and you die without food. Need * We then make our way up to the bar on the main floor/entrance. You can hear a male voice say let me walk to the kitchen. Male *

There was a while where we didn't hear much then we started getting some more voices. There some other chatter and I did get a guy saying the word alive. Then, there there's a sing songy female voice that says it's not okay it's broken. Female2 * Sounds like someone singing. Singing * This scared all of us. At first we thought it came from the bathroom, but then we figured out that someone had gone behind the bar and opened a door and it slammed shut. DoorSlam Male * Creepy voice sounds like I will tell you. At the end I can't really tell what is said. The first word almost sounds like Blackburn Males * I ask if they can whistle and I hear a male singing. Only can make out first few words of song. Stop the love. Stop *

Spirit box at bar: Got some interesting responses. Let Me * Can't get what male said right after question but sounds like someone answers 12. 12 * This is interesting. Laura tells them that they can come join her in the bar, at the end it sounds like I do.IDo * We're hearing footsteps and a spirit says I see them. Then she asks who's upstairs and there is a response 1st sounds like 2 heaven. Name  * Someone asks about going upstairs, sounds like too evil  Voices * When Laura talks about help there is a faint female thank you. At the end a male says 3 words. Voices2 * She asks if it's Mercedes and a male says Hello. Hello * We start hearing things being moved above us.Movement * We then went to the upstairs bar. Immediately I'm hearing voices and someone is seeing a shadow in the men's bathroom. Here is 2 recorders (they are at opposite ends of the bar.) The only male in our group is actually talking but you hear other males in the background. Males * There are some voices on this one. Female sounds like she's says where's Cassie at? And then a male says don't let them through.* Voices

After she said we're not asking you to leave. A male voice says I can help myself. Then very faintly he said I don't think I want you (can't make out end) and then we hear footsteps but none of us are walking. Male *  There is a lot of whispering going on that I just can't make out. I really really wish this one was clearer. It sounds like he says that's there own business. Male * Male and female response. MaleFemale * Almost sounds like we know that Colin.....did it, then No.  Colin *There's a lot of talking going on but it's so hard to understand easily. You can hear very loudly what happens after the word Betty. Just say the names.  Then a word is spoken while Laura is speaking. The end is hard to hear but he says I like to drink. Drink Sounds like I'm from ...... beach beach * Whispering (Just name your price, I'll give you) and somebody moving things. Movement *

This was weird. There is lots of movement and whispering. A woman responds a few times. I thought maybe before the middle when it's a really clear voice that it was maybe a woman with an accent Woman *So then I isolated that section and also the end just for fun, and I reversed it. Reverse *Then it sounds like she says it's all right. And right before that it sounds like a guy saying I will burn in hell (maybe). At the very end it sounds like help my friends and I. The same female voice is in this one. Female * I reversed it and it sounds like Susan can help Help * I do hear that voice again but I can't quite get what she's saying.

Then, there is just some weird whispering and then it sounds like an argument. It seems like some yells Get me outta here ahole. The a woman says you're so dumb. And another woman says something at the very end. Voices* It's followed by a weird evp. Sounds like the same yelling type voice saying Get.... I can't make it out. Voice * Here is some footsteps and banging. Banging *We hear more banging and then something slams.* Slam

This is the only picture I got that seemed like it could  possibly be a real orb.
